
Central Tibetan Administration Celebrates 79th Anniversary of India’s Independence Day.
Dharamshala: To honour the 79th anniversary of India’s Independence Day, themed “Naya Bharat”, the Central Tibetan Administration organised a modest ceremony at Gangchen Kyishong, celebrating the significant occasion in solidarity with the people of India.
The event saw the presence of Officiating Sikyong Tharlam Dolma Changra, the Kalon (Minister) of the Department of Education, Election Commissioner Lobsang Yeshi, Public Service Commissioner Karma Yeshi, Parliamentarians Tsering Yangchen and secretaries and senior officials from various departments of the Central Tibetan Administration.
The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the Indian national flag by the Officiating Sikyong, followed by the rendition of the Indian national anthem.
In her address, Officiating Sikyong Tharlam Dolma extended heartfelt greetings on behalf of the Tibetan people in exile and inside Tibet to the Government and people of India.
