The Department of Religion and Culture's two-day Consortium Conference of the Tibetan Digital Library from January 15 to 16, 2025, is underway at Hotel Imperial Heights in Dharamshala. This initiative is part of the three-year program under the "Strengthening Cultural Resilience of Tibetan Communities" project. The conference brought together around 80 participants representing 58 monasteries and Tibetan cultural institutions. The primary goal of this three-year project is to preserve and maintain old Tibetan documents and Buddhist manuscripts systematically. Launched in November 2023, the project has already collaborated with 20 religious and cultural institutions in its first year. In the second year, it aims to expand its reach to an additional 20 institutions, with plans to include the remaining 18 in the final year.
