Following the meeting, President Pavel spoke to Tibet Radio, reaffirming his government’s support for the Central Tibetan Administration’s “Middle Way Approach” and emphasizing the Tibetan people's right to justice and cultural preservation through peaceful means. Speaking to Tibet Radio after the event, Sikyong Penpa Tsering noted the historic nature of the visit, saying, “This is the first time a sitting president of any nation has come to meet His Holiness the Dalai Lama in India. It is a truly historic moment.”
