Day 04 | Ladakh | White Wednesday in Ladakh: Dancing for Tibet | Stories of Tibetans

Every Wednesday in Choglamsar, a Tibetan settlement in Leh, Ladakh, something beautiful and powerful happens—Gorshey, the Tibetan circle dance, takes over the space with rhythm, unity, and resistance. I had the chance to witness it myself, and it truly moved me. The energy, the pride, the colors—everything, down to a simple cap, carried deep Tibetan identity. This weekly gathering isn’t just cultural—it’s political. It’s part of the White Wednesday Movement, a peaceful act of resistance against China’s cultural genocide in Tibet. Wednesdays were chosen because it’s the soul day of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Every Wednesday, Tibetans here: Perform Gorshey Speak in Tibetan Visit temples Embrace and express their cultural roots This is Tibetan resilience in motion. So if you're ever in Ladakh on a Wednesday—don’t miss it. #WayToGoTibetans 🙌 . . . . . . . . . #WhiteWednesday #Gorshey #TibetanCircleDance #Choglamsar #LadakhCulture #FreeTibet #TibetanResistance #TibetanIdentity #CulturalPreservation #TibetMatters #SoulDay #HisHolinessDalaiLama #TibetanDiaspora #DanceForTibet #LehLadakh #StandWithTibet #CulturalGenocide #TibetanPride #WednesdayVibes #GorsheyForFreedom #TibetanHeritage
