The CBCT® (Cognitively Based Compassion Training) program at Emory is a secular meditation program that draws from the writings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the millennia-old Indo-Tibetan Buddhist tradition, and contemporary scientific understandings of the mind and emotions. Today, CBCT (Cognitively Based Compassion Training) is one of the most researched compassion training programs and more than 24 peer-reviewed published research studies have suggested that CBCT can improve multiple measures of mental health.
