They received a sentence of 4 1/2 months each and have already served their terms. • Taiwan lauds TSMC investment as ‘historic moment’ for relations with the U.S. Taiwan President Lai Ching-te is hailing a planned $100 billion investment in the U.S. by the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation as “a historic moment for U.S-Taiwan relations,” adding that the move is not the result of pressure imposed by the U.S. government. • Egypt presents plan for Gaza’s future as Israel cautions against Hamas role. Arab states have adopted an Egyptian plan for the future of Gaza and called on the international community to support the plan. Israel says Hamas must have no role in the future of Gaza.
